About Your Water & Sewer Bill
The water and sewer bills have two sections: a service fee and a usage rate. Each customer is charged the service fee regardless of water usage during the quarter.
Note that there is a different service fee for premises using larger water meters (see tables below). Most residential and small commercial properties have a 5/8" water meter.
The second charge is the usage charge. This covers the actual amount of water used during the quarter. The usage cost (flow rate) per 1000 gallons is the same for all properties, regardless of meter size.
